お正月の長湯温泉2010.1 [旅行]
昨年の「湯平温泉」に続き、今年の正月は「長湯温泉」に行ってきました。
「長湯温泉」は、大分県竹田市にある「日本一の炭酸泉」の温泉です。その炭酸濃度の濃さは世界でも類をみないほどだそう。
温泉街にある建築家「藤森照信」氏設計による「ラムネ湯」は、湯に入ると肌に炭酸の気泡ができるほどの濃さです。
ドイツの炭酸泉で有名な「バートクロチンゲン」市と姉妹都市提携を結んでいます。

源泉の温度が45℃程度と低めのこともあり、その名の通り長く浸かっていられる温泉です。
糖尿病、胃腸病、心臓病などに効果があり、飲泉は、内臓系の効能が高い湯です。炭酸のおかげで気泡が断熱効果となり、保温効果が抜群です。三百年の歴史をもつ湯治場です。

川沿いにある温泉場です。川原には無料で入れる石組みの露天風呂「ガニ湯」もあります。混浴で丸見えのお風呂ですが、川のせせらぎを聞きながら入浴できます。夏の世に満点の星空の下で入ると気持ちよさそうです。
湯船からの光景はこんな感じでしょうか。
古くからの湯治場ということもあり、「与謝野鉄幹・晶子」夫妻の句碑もあったりして、著名人も多数訪れているようです。作家「開高健」氏のお言葉も・・
この銅版の貼ってあった旅館には、「開高バー」もあり、おいしいお酒もいただけます。
長湯温泉の近くにある「籾山神社」には、樹齢1000年といわれる「大けやき」や樹齢400年の杉並木があります。
石畳は「熊野古道」を思わせる風情がありました。
ここの神社の狛犬はなかなか愛嬌がありました。
近くには、滝廉太郎の「荒城の月」で知られる城下町「竹田市」もあります。
岡城のほか、キリシタン礼拝堂や軍神広瀬中佐を祀る「広瀬神社」など見所満載です。
竹田市にある和菓子屋さん「但馬屋」は美味でお薦めです。
