白木蓮

千葉県千倉の「海岸美術館」のお庭、「白木蓮」が満開でした。
木蓮の「花言葉」は、「高潔な心」「崇高」「慈悲」「荘厳」なのだそう・・・。
まさに花言葉通りの印象のお花に心を打たれました。




木蓮って蕾は必ず北を向くのだそう。そういうお花「コンパス・フラワー」って言うらしい。

近くには、「姫こぶし」のお花も。
「木蓮」より少しお花が小ぶりですが、「木蓮」のお仲間のひとつだそう。
こちらは、可憐なものでした・・・。

先日、静岡に行ったときに
真っ白に　フワ～～ってなっている
木があって、何？？と思っているうちに、
結構なお宅に植えてあって、
今までこんな風に思って観たことが
ないわ、、我が家の方には無いんだわって
帰ってきました。
綿帽子みたいで本当にきれいでした＾＾
