藤森照信の特選美術館三昧

趣向を変えて、お薦めの本の紹介を。
「藤森照信の特選美術館三昧」は、東京大学の教授であり、建築探偵団として活動し、自らも赤瀬川源平氏の邸宅「ニラハウス」や自邸「たんぽぽハウス」などの設計も行う「藤森照信」氏が、日本各地から27の美術館をピックアップし、実際に訪れて、それぞれの特徴などを洒脱に解説している本です。
「コルビジェが何故、西洋美術館を設計することになったのか」などの建築秘話や各建築家の内面に鋭く、突っ込みます。

氏が採り上げた27の美術館のうち、訪れたことがある美術館は、今のところ9つ。ちょうど1/3です。
この本を読むと、全部の美術館に行ってみたくなること間違いなしです。
