鎌倉紫陽花紀行 その8 江ノ電

江ノ電は、今年全線開通から百年の記念すべき年であるという。
最初の「藤沢⇔片瀬」間が開通した1902年（明治35年）から、数えると108年の歴史を誇ることになります。


日本最初の鉄道「新橋⇔横浜」間の正式開通が1872年（明治5年）。
東海道線の開通が1889年（明治22年）
日本最初の地下鉄「上野⇔浅草」間が開業したのが1927年（昭和2年）。
日本最初の鉄道開業から30年後、地下鉄開業からは25年前に「江ノ電」は開業したことになります。
駅数15駅、全長10km、「藤沢⇔鎌倉」間34分。2008年の輸送人員実績は1500万人の鉄道です。
途中、道路上を走る箇所があったり、江ノ島や相模湾が見渡せたりと車窓も楽しめる魅力的な路線です。







今年は、この紫陽花ラッピングのように、いろんな車両が楽しめるのかもしれませんね。


駅では、「江ノ電100年物語」のパンフレットが無料配布されていて、「江ノ電」の歴史などを知ることができます。




江ノ電、ぶらり途中下車の旅も楽しそうですね。

しばらく、江ノ島にも行ってないです。次回のお楽しみですね・・・。
