鎌倉紫陽花紀行 その6 江ノ電鎌倉駅 [花・草木]
雨が激しくなってきたので、銭洗い弁天から、北鎌倉へを断念し、鎌倉駅へ。
老舗の喫茶店「イワタ珈琲店」で雨宿りがてら休憩です。
こちらのお店、「ホットケーキ」が名物で、お店には運よくすぐ入れましたが、「ホートケーキは、注文しますか？ 今は50分くらいかかります」と言われました。隣のテーブルの方がホットケーキを食べていて、一人で食べきるのは大変そうでした。

ネルドリップで淹れられるコーヒーは美味です。
店の奥に西洋式の庭園が広がっていて（お庭はそれほど大きくないですが・・）、京都のイノダコーヒー本店を思い出させます。
電車で北鎌倉へ向かうか、別の場所に向かうか検討の上、「開高健」展を開催しているらしい「鎌倉文学館」へ行ってみることにしました。
初めての訪問になります。（行ってみたら、「開高健」展は、横浜「港の見える丘公園」にある「神奈川近代文学館」での開催でした。残念！）

今年の江ノ電は100周年だそうなので、今後もいろいろと趣向を凝らしたものが登場しそうですね。白の縁取りの紫陽花、僕も今回、初めて見ました。ちょっと妖しげな雰囲気が素敵でした。

この大きさで800円は、ちょっとリーズナブル？に感じます。こんなに厚いと焼くのも難しいのでしょうね。

僕は、この巨大なホットケーキは完食できそうにありません。水で流し込んで食べているような方もいらっしゃいました。
江ノ電、二両編成かと思っていたのですが、四両編成でした。個人的には旧型車両が懐かしいです。

ガラス越に厨房も少し見えるのですが、ホットケーキの製造法はわからなかったです。どうやって作っているんでしょうね。こんがりの焼き目は、サクサクしてる感じでした。
