ローマ・バルセロナ紀行14 キーツ・シェリー記念館

2日目（8/16）
スペイン広場の右側にある「キーツ・シェリー記念館」へ。


6月に公開された映画「ブライト・スター　いちばん美しい恋の詩」を見ていたこともあり、イギリスの詩人「ジョン・キーツ」の終焉の地を思い入れを込め、眺めることができました。

キーツ・シェリー記念館では、ジョン・キーツとその友人シェリーなどの当時の住まいや資料などを見ることができます。


階段を登って




キーツの部屋の様子。キーツのベッドです。ここで息を引き取ったわけですね・・・。


ベッドの脇にはキーツのデスマスク。


他に、生きていた頃の「ライブマスク」も。マスクでも「生」を感じることができますね。


キーツの間には、本がびっしり・・・。いい空間です！


キーツの机からは、白く輝くスペイン階段を目の前に見ることができます。


カフェ・グレコにもしばしば通ったそうです・・・。

髪の毛なども感慨深く見ることができました。

一方、こちらはシェリーの居室。こちらも気持ちのいい空間です。






オスカー・ワイルドの直筆も見ることができました。思いがけず繊細な文字です。


25歳の若さでこの世をさることになったキーツ。
婚約者ファニー・ブーロンに関する資料もみることができます。




記念館で、キーツの詩集を購入しました。少しずつ読んでみようと思います。

オスカー・ワイルドの直筆、本当に繊細でやわらかいですね。
スペイン広場には行ったことがあるのですが、あまりゆっくりできず、
お向かい（だったかな？）にある手袋屋さんで、急いでお買い物をした記憶が。笑。
こうしてゆっくり拝見できて、贅沢な気分です。
