江の島巡遊4 岩屋

「奥津宮」から、坂を降って「岩屋」へ。（坂を登ると「恋人の丘」）


海水の浸食によって出来た二つの洞窟を巡ります。
岩屋は海岸まで降りた所。


雄大なる太平洋。水平線を眺めていると地球が丸いというのがなんとなくわかります。
（水平線を見ると、海のトリトンの歌を思い出してしまいます）




さて、岩屋。案内版に従って進むと、入口に。


中は、第一岩屋と第二岩屋に分かれていて、それぞれ152ｍ、112ｍの長さ。


入ってすぐに広重らに描かれた江ノ島の浮世絵があったりします。







中は、結構な暗さ・・・。


行燈を借りて、奥に進みます。行燈なんて持ったの初めてかもしれません・・・。
ろうそくの創り出す揺らぎの光は、心地よいものです。


信仰の場としての歴史もある「岩屋」。第一岩屋には、歴史の中で奉納されてきた石像に出会えます。


一旦、洞窟から出てきて、


第二岩屋へ。


入口からの海の眺めも気持ちのいいもの。


こちらは、多くの龍が鎮座しております。








ちょっとした洞窟探検の気分を味わえました！　岩屋の前に拡がる「稚児ケ淵」へ。
