京都紅葉仕舞い3 永観堂2010.12.3 [京都 紅葉]
小雨の中、急ぎ足で「永観堂」へ。持ってきた傘は朝の晴れ間を見て、ホテルに預けた荷物の中です・・・。
2年前の紅葉の時に訪れた「永観堂」の紅葉は、それは見事なモノでした。
「永観堂」は実は通称。「禅林寺」が正式名称です。古来から「秋はもみじの永観堂」といわれる紅葉の名所です。
京都に3か所あった「勧学院」（学問研究所）の一つだそうです。
「永観堂」は、もともと「空海」の高弟「真紹」が開いたお寺で、当初は「真言宗」のお寺。7代「永観」の時代に浄土教色を強め、現在は「浄土宗」のお寺に。「永観堂」の通称は、この「永観」からきているそうです。
この寺の本尊「阿弥陀如来立像」は、お顔を左に向けた珍しいお像です。「みかえり阿弥陀」としておなじみです。
おさい銭箱が身体の正面とお顔の正面の2か所あるのも面白い。

紅葉の残っている木もありますが、大半は盛りが過ぎています。夜のライトアップも11/30に終了しているようです。
ここは、紅葉落ち葉狩りでも！
永観堂の中を観ているうちに雨もごく小降りに。
濡れた服を乾かすことも兼ねて、カレーうどんが名物の「日の出うどん」へ。
こちらがメニュー。
ここは、やはり「特カレーうどん」で。辛さは辛口でお願いしました。
あつあつ、カレーうどんで身体も心もポカポカです。美味しいものは、人を確実に幸せにしてくれますね。
店から出ると、先ほどまでの嵐はなんだったの？というくらいの青空が！ 変な天気です！

今年の京都の紅葉は綺麗だったようですね。今回は、出遅れて永観堂のもみじも多くは散ってしまっていました。最盛期はさぞ壮観だったでしょうね。

ここは、うどんの他に中華麺も選択できるのですが、カレーラーメン、食べたことないです。近くの中華屋さんにも新メニューで加わってました・・・。
