ローマ・バルセロナ紀行36 ピカソ美術館と夕食 [バルセロナ]
5日目（8/19）
ゴシック地区の迷路のような小路に迷いつつ、「ピカソ美術館」へ向かいました。
向かう途中、うどん屋さんを発見。おいしいのだろうか？！
オープンカフェは、どこも賑わっています。
少し遠回りしているうちに、雨が降り出しました。今回の旅行で初めてです。
軒先で雨宿りしながら、ようやく「ピカソ美術館」を発見！ 雨の中、入場待ちの行列が・・・。
中世の貴族の館を改装した美術館は、中は広くて、入ってしまえば、ゆっくり作品鑑賞できました。
ピカソ美術館、ゲルニカなどの超メジャーな作品はないものの、少年時代や初期の作品群から年代順に油彩・素描・版画・陶器などの作品を楽しむことができます。プラド美術館にある「ベラスケス」の「ラス・メニーナス」をモチーフとした作品は、ピカソらしい表現で面白く感じました。点描法で描かれた初期の作品などもピカソの遍歴を感じられて面白かったです。デッサン力には、改めて感心させられます。
美術館を出ると、雨はあがってました。ピカソ美術館の前の路地も雨に濡れていい雰囲気です。
空には青空が戻ってきました。
ゴシック地区に戻り、晩御飯のレストランを探索。お店の入り口でローストしている肉に誘われて、1835年創業の老舗レストラン「ロス・カラコレス」に行ってみることに。
間口は狭いお店でしたが、中は、外からは想像できないほどに広く、迷路のような造りでした。
中には、来店した有名人の写真やサインが飾られています。
写真が飾られているタイルの壁も素敵です。
歴史を感じさせる店内の雰囲気もなかなかのもの。

調度品も歴史を感じさせます。
値段はそこそこに高かったです。味は普通・・・。翌日に行ったこのお店の近所のお店は値段は半分で、味も良かったのが正直なところです。
食事を終えて外に出てみると、また雨が降っていました。
雨に濡れた街もいいものです。
夜の地下鉄はお客も少なく静かなもの。（22：40くらい）
地下鉄の中は、若者で賑わっていました。帰る途中の駅で降りる親切なご婦人が若者の集団に目配せしながら「Ｂｅ careful your big camera and bag！」と注意してくれました。
今回の旅行では被害に逢いませんでしたが、やはり、スリやひったくりといった犯罪は多いようです。
翌日から夜の地下鉄では、カメラはカバンの中にしまうことにしました。
グラシア通りのSHOPのショーウィンドウも雨に濡れた石畳もいい感じです。

無事ホテルに辿り着きました。「サグラダ・ファミリア」も雨に霞んで見えました。
最後にバルセロナ二日目の行程です。「サン・ジュセップ市場」は地図によっては、愛称の「ボケリア市場」と表記されています。

10年以上前になりますが、フィレンツェで大きなダンボールを持って近寄ってくる子供の被害に逢いかけました。ダンボールの下で手を伸ばしてカバンの中のものを取る手口でした・・・。最近は、女子高生のスリ軍団なんてのもいるようです。

ピカソ美術館は、訪れた時間が18時半くらいでした。入場まで20分くらいの列でした。モンジュイックのミロ美術館は、全く入場待ちはなかったです。

日本のように地下鉄で居眠りなんてのは、ちょっとできないですね。夜でも、スキを見せなければ、大丈夫でした。なるべく空いている車両に乗るのがいいようです。
運が良かっただけかもしれませんが・・・。

Having Andrew as our first Farmer Scholar is the worst representation of this school that I could find. He uses and abuses girls all the time, lies, smokes pot, and drinks underage. Personally, I would hope our school could find a better person to act as a role model for our school. I have no idea how someone as vain, stupid, and egotistical as him could have beat out the competition for this scholarship. He didn’t even receive very good high school grades or SAT scores. I hope the future Farmer Scholars have better morals, are more intelligent, and do not follow in his footsteps.
