2007年、ベルギーとパリの旅 その14 （パリ「奇跡のメダル」の教会） [ベルギー・パリ]
7/15 5日目Ｎｏ1 パリ終日観光（パリの3日目-実質最終日）

今回の旅行5日目の朝を迎えました。明日、帰国予定なので、実質最終日になります。
本日のメインイベントは、個人的にはブランクーシですが、他にも見たいところがたくさんあり、盛りだくさんの一日になりました。
朝一で、「奇跡のメダル」で秘かにブームになっている「サンヴァンサン・ド・ポール愛徳修道女会礼拝堂教会」に行きました。教会は、パリ左岸の世界最古のデパート「ボンマルシェ」の裏にあります。
最古のデパート「ボン・マルシェ」。食品売り場が有名です。
（ボンマルシェは、1852年に創業。産業革命を機に、商品が大量に流通するようになり、従来の専門店から、1店舗でそれら商品をを一括に扱うという概念のもとに生まれ、大きな建築物に様々な種類の商品を陳列し、営業を開始したとされる。日本のデパートの苦境の現状を見ていると、今は商品が拡がりすぎて、1店舗に収容しきれなり、結果、中途半端な店舗となり、存在意義そのものが危うくなっているような気がします。従来の商品構成の考え方を変更すれば、魅力的な店舗はまだまだ創れるように個人的には、思いますが・・・）
で、「奇跡のメダル」ですが、1830年にマリア様が二度現れ、自分の姿をモデルにメダルを制作するようにというお告げがあったそうです。メダルを制作してみたところ、多くの「恵み」が与えられ、「奇跡のメダル」と言われるようになったようです。手ごろな値段で、メダルそのものは、購入できますので、おみやげには最適です。でも、そもそも信心がないと意味がないことのような気もしますね。
教会そのものは、大きいわけでも、目立つわけでもないのですが、チャペルは、おごそかで中々、いい雰囲気でした。
